LEVEL II HANDGUN COURSE
The Level II Handgun Course includes a combination of classroom instruction and practical training on the firing range. Skill improvement exercises will be reviewed in the classroom setting prior to live fire drills on the firing range. The course is conducted by a team of highly skilled instructors with vast firearms experience. Topics covered in the course include:
· Gun safety
· Proper selection and use of holster
· Drawing and target acquisition
· Reloading
· Clearing malfunctions
· Improving precision
· Increasing speed
· Addressing multiple targets
All course materials will be provided including targets. Students will be required to provide ammunition appropriate for their handgun; 50 rounds minimum. Eye and ear protection is required on the range. Ammunition for all common handgun calibers and protective equipment are available for purchase at Sportsman’s Corner. The course builds on basic skills taught in the Level I handgun course to allow students to continue improving their handgun proficiency. Attending Level I Course prior to attending Level II course is suggested but not currently required. Attending students for Level II course need to have at minimum a basic familiarity with their handgun and the ability to operate and fire the handgun safely. Each course is limited to the first 25 students to register. The course is approximately 4 hours in length. Course fee is $50 per student.

· How to obtain a weapons carry permit
· Identification of various handguns
· Ammunition selection
· Proper handling techniques
· Proper sight alignment
· Proficiency improvement exercises
· Gun cleaning and maintenance
· Situational Awareness and Safety
All course materials will be provided including targets. Students will be required to provide ammunition appropriate for their handgun; 25 rounds minimum. Eye and ear protection is required on the range. Ammunition for all common handgun calibers and protective equipment are available for purchase at Sportsman’s Corner. Students who are interested in attending the course but do not currently have access to a handgun, please contact Sportsman’s Corner for options. Each course is limited to the first 25 students to register. The course is approximately 4 hours in length. Course fee is $50 per student.
