This entry level handgun course includes a combination of classroom curriculum 

 as well as practical instruction on the firing range. The course is led by trained

 instructors with vast firearms experience. Topics covered in the course include:

 - Gun safety
 - A review of relevant firearms laws
 - How to obtain a weapons carry permit
 - Identification of various handguns
 - Selection of handguns, ammunition and accessories
 - Proper handling techniques
 - Proper sight alignment
 - Proficiency improvement exercises 

 ​​All course materials will be provided including targets. Students will be 

 required to provide ammunition appropriate for their handgun; 25 rounds 

 minimum. Eye and ear protection are required on the range. Ammunition 

 for all common handgun calibers and protective equipment are available

 for purchase at Sportsman’s Corner. Students who are interested in

 attending the course but do not currently have access to a handgun

 please contact Sportsman’s Corner for options. Each course is limited to

 the first 25 students to register.
